Abstract

This study examines the comparison of peer attachment among students based on gender. The purpose of this study is to obtain an overview of the differences in peer attachment among students based on gender in general at each grade level. The study used a quantitative approach with a descriptive comparative method. The sample consisted of 85 students in grade X at SMA Negeri 20 Bandung in the 2024/2025 academic year, using accidental sampling. The comparative analysis was conducted using non-parametric statistics. The technique used was the Two Independent Sample Test on peer attachment scores based on gender. The results of the study indicate that, in general, the peer attachment of students at SMA Negeri 20 Bandung in the 2024/2025 academic year falls into the anxious-ambivalent attachment category. This study recommends group guidance and counseling services that can improve the quality of peer attachment.
