Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

1. Language and Manuscript Type

Manuscripts must be written in English and prepared using the provided journal template. ADJCM accepts two types of manuscripts:

  • Original Article / Literature Review
  • Case Report

2. Submission

Manuscripts are submitted electronically through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) at https://journal3.uad.ac.id/index.php/adjcm.
Authors must register and log in before submitting. Each submission must include the manuscript file in Microsoft Word (.docx) format following the journal template.

3. Formatting

Paper size: A4 (21 × 29.7 cm)

Margins: 3 cm (top, bottom, left, and right)

Font: Cambria, 11 pt (except title and headings)

Line spacing: 1.5

Maximum length: 20 pages (including tables, figures, and references)

Reference style: AMA 11th Edition (American Medical Association)

File name: should include the first author’s surname and manuscript type (e.g., Smith_CaseReport.docx).

4. Ethical Considerations

For manuscripts involving human participants or animals, ethical approval from an institutional review board is required.

Case Reports must include an Informed Consent Statement from the patient or legal guardian.

A statement of Conflict of Interest and Funding must be included at the end of the manuscript.

5. Plagiarism Policy

The similarity index should not exceed 20%, excluding references and standard phrases. All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software.

6. Review Process

All manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review by at least two reviewers. The editorial board may revise and edit manuscripts for clarity and compliance with journal style.

Articles

Original research articles presenting novel findings, methods, or analyses relevant to the journal’s scope. Manuscripts should be well-structured, with Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion (IMRAD) format. All submissions undergo double-blind peer review.

Case Report

Presents unique or rare clinical cases that provide new insights into diagnosis, treatment, or disease mechanisms. Manuscripts must include Introduction, Case Presentation, Discussion, and Conclusion, with patient consent and identity protection. All submissions undergo double-blind peer review.

Literature Review

Presents a comprehensive and critical overview of previous research on a specific topic relevant to the journal’s scope. Manuscripts should synthesize existing knowledge, identify research gaps, and offer perspectives for future studies. All submissions undergo double-blind peer review.

Privacy Statement

The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
